Chapter   Six

The Boys were standing on the side of the stage, behind a curtain. I was standing there in my dance outfit. Crystie and Skye were talking to Brian and AJ, going over some last minute details. Nick was standing there with his eyes closed. I walked over to him and put my arms around his waist. It was probably the worst thing I could've done at that moment, but when Nick put his arms around me, too, I wasn't thinking about that. All I could think about was how perfect we fit together.

"All right," said a woman, walking up to us. "Brian, Howie, Kevin, AJ, come over here." The guys walked over toward us. Brian had his arm around Crystie's shoulders and she had her arms around is waist. When I looked at her, she gave me a big smile.

"Everybody, pay attention," the woman said. "I'm Donna Wright, as the guys might have already told you girls. First, the Boys will be performing 'That's The Way I Like It', then 'Let's Have A Party'. After that song, 'We've Got It Goin' On' will be sung and at the beginning of the song, you girls will be brought out separately. It will all be in sync, though. I will cue you on when you go out the stage. You girls will have to be paying attention to what's happening on stage or you will be completely lost." Donna decided to take a breath at that time and check her clipboard. "Which one of you is Crystie Waconda?" she asked, looking at us girls.

"I am," she said, as she raised her hand.

"You're going out first," Donna said. "Which one of you is Angel Lopez?"

"That's me," I said.

"So, you're the one Nick can't stop talking about," Donna said, looking at me and smiling. "You're going second. I'm guessing you're Skye Calloway." She looked at Skye.

"Yeah," Skye said.

"You're out third," Donna said. "Everybody ready?"

The Boys got into a circle and called for the rest of the crew to do the same. I stood between Nick and Kevin, then it was Crystie on Kevin's left, Brian on Crystie's left, Skye on Brian's left, AJ on Skye's left, Howie on AJ's left, then somebody else on his left and so on. We all joined hands and said a group prayer. After that, it seemed like everyone was pumped up. The broke into a song. I guessed it was something that happened before every concert because the people around me knew all the words to the song. Even the Boys.

Nick looked down at me and smiled. I smiled back at him. I looked around and saw Brian and Crystie hugging, then she gave Brian a kiss on the cheek. I turned around and saw Skye doing the same with AJ. I looked back at Nick and decided to him a hug, too. He leaned down to pick me up and I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Have a good show," I told him.

"Thanks. I'll be waiting for you to come out on stage," he said, giving me one last squeeze, then put me down.

I watch as each one of them went out on stage as they were introduced. They started off with a good song. Actually, it was one of my favorite songs. I liked watching the show from the side of the stage. It was as close as you could get to the Boys when they performed. Before I knew it, it was time for Skye, Crystie, and I to go on stage to dance. I wasn't nervous anymore. In fact, I couldn't wait to get started. Finally, it was my turn. I ran out with a big smile.
